The social program for registered Accompanying Persons offers a variety of activities:

• All registered Accompanying Persons are invited to attend three social events held at the Westin Ottawa Hotel:
  • Welcoming Reception, on Sunday, 2009, August 23
  • Exhibitors Reception, on Monday, 2009, August 24
  • Farewell Reception, on Wednesday, 2009, August 26
• On Monday, August 24, at 09:00 hours, a representative of Ottawa Tourism will provide an overview of things to see and do in Ottawa. (Continental Breakfast will be offered.)
  
• An exclusive two-hour tour by air conditioned highway coach of Canada’s national capital has been arranged for Monday, August 24, leaving at 14:00 hours. It will provide and overview of the area and will allow new-comers to Ottawa to orient themselves and learn something of the area’s history.
• All registered Accompanying Persons will have access to the Hospitality Suite, which will be located at the Westin Ottawa Hotel in Manitoba Room. Accompanying persons can meet there and plan their day in Ottawa. Refreshments will be available every morning at 8:30, on August 24, 25, 26.

The fee for this program is $50 (USD) per person.
