To register for INTERNOISE 2009 Congress and ACTIVE 2009 please visit Registration website .

Please be advised of the refund policy for the InterNoise 2009 Congress and the ACTIVE 2009 Symposium (posted 24 June):

Registrations:
If you have submitted a paper for publication, no refund can be given as the deadline for paper submission has passed and proceedings papers have gone to layout;

If you will be attending the Congress or the Symposium without presenting a paper, no refunds will be given after 2009, July 01. Prior to 2009, July 01, all refunds will be subject to a 20% handling fee.

Social Programs:
No refunds for Accompanying Persons Program, or Congress Banquet, or Symposium Dinner will be given after 2009, July 01. Prior to 2009 July 01, all refunds will be subject to a 20% handling fee.

Short Courses:
No refunds will be given after 2009, July 01. Prior to 01 July, refunds will be subject to a 20% handling fee. If course is cancelled because of number of participants, the full amount will be refunded.

* Students maybe asked to present valid student ID when picking-up registration materials at the congress.

Registration fees of participants and students include:

  • Access to the technical and poster sessions, daily coffee service;
  • Opening and Closing Ceremonies and associated receptions;
  • Exposition and Exhibitors’ Reception (Monday evening);
  • Printed booklet containing Abstracts and Exhibitor Directory;
  • INTER-NOISE and ACTIVE Proceedings CD-Rom, and Badge.

Registration fees of accompanying persons includes:
  • Ottawa City Tour (half-day Monday) and presentation;
  • Opening and Closing Ceremonies and associated receptions;
  • Exposition and Exhibitors’ Reception (Monday evening);
  • Badge.

The registration form is completed online and submitted directly to the Congress Secretariat. An e-mail acknowledging receipt of the registration will be automatically generated and sent to the e-mail address provided on the registration. Payment of the registration fee will be available online using credit card payment, or can be paid by bank transfer. If using bank transfer a copy of the bank transfer form should be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the Congress Secretariat. Contact the Congress Secretariat for further instructions.

Venue
The congress venue is the Westin Ottawa a four-star hotel offering 495 spacious guest rooms and suites many having spectacular views of the Rideau Canal and ByWard Market from floor-to-ceiling guest room windows. Additional guest rooms have been booked across the street at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier a grand hotel steeped in a century of history. Located in the heart of the city, both hotels are close to all major downtown attractions, Parliament Buildings, National Gallery, Royal Mint, etc. as well as the renowned Rideau Shopping Centre. A short 5-minute walk from the hotels, the ByWard Market offers a multitude of dining options for both lunch and dinner as well as ample shopping and entertainment. A food court in the Rideau Shopping Centre, which is attached to the Westin Ottawa, provides budget dining alternatives.

The hotels are 20 minutes from the airport via taxi or shuttle bus.

Language
The official language of the conference is English.

A generalized invitation letter is avialable here A personalized letter can be obtained upon request. The Organizing Committee will be happy to send a personal invitation for participation in the Conference. It must be understood that such an invitation is only to help visitors obtain funds for travel and accommodation or a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the Organizers to provide any financial support.
