SOCIAL TOURS

INTER-NOISE Registrants

In addition to the tour on Monday August 24 at 14:00, which is included in the Accompanying Persons package, other social tours are available for purchase by all participants and Accompanying Persons.

Choose your favourite way to discover Ottawa and to explore surrounding areas. All tours are organized by Gray Line located in Ottawa. Tours depart and return from the Gray Line Kiosk at the corner of Sparks and Elgin Streets, a two-minute walk from both The Westin Ottawa and the Fairmont Château Laurier.

You can, obtain more information on additional Social Tours, or purchase them in one of two ways. In advance by contacting Gray Line directly using the information below or from a Gray Line representative on-site at The Westin Ottawa. Gray Line will operate a booth close the Congress Registration Desk. Other tours and excursions are available upon request.

Registration for Social Tours is separate from the Congress Registration and must be done directly with Gray Line.

Tour 1 - Discover the Capital Tour (approx. 2 hours)

Description: Hop aboard one of our authentic London-style double-decker, turn of the century trolleys or first-class air conditioned motor coach to experience Ottawa's Discover the Capital Tour.  The tour officially begins at the corner of Sparks & Elgin Streets and is valid for 3 consecutive days.  The city tour runs in a continuous circle daily from 10:00am with the last departure at 4:00pm.  Let our award winning guides introduce you to the history and excitement that is Ottawa!  Highlights include: Canadian Museum of Civilization, Parliament Hill, National Gallery of Canada, Rideau Hall, Notre Dame Basilica, ByWard Market and Casino du Lac Leamy.

Tour 2 - Discover the Capital & Take a Cruise (approx. 3.5 hours)

Description: This excursion provides you with a complete tour experience of our Nation's Capital from all avenues.  You will start your tour with the Discover the Capital Tour which is valid for 3 consecutive days in a continuous circle from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Highlights include the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Parliament Hill, National Gallery of Canada, Rideau Hall, Notre Dame Basilica, ByWard Market and Casino du Lac Leamy.  Along with the Discover the Capital City Tour pass you have the option of choosing between an Ottawa River Cruise or Rideau Canal Cruise.

Tour 3 - Discover Montréal (approx. full day)

Description:  Enjoy the day in Montréal with a round trip bus transportation and a 3-hour Montréal City Tour.  Bus departs daily at 6am, 7am & 8am.  Upon arriving in Montréal, begin your Greater Montréal Tram Tour.  Highlights include Old Montréal, the Olympic site, McGill University, Mt. Royal and a tour of Notre Dame Basilica.  Your return transportation voucher is valid for any of the hourly departures between Montréal and Ottawa, allowing you to choose how long you wish to stay in historic Montréal.
